Post-Surgery Care

Post-Surgery Care

Doctors stress the importance of rest after surgery for your mental health as well as your physical health. It’s no secret that post-op recovery from all types of surgery is difficult to handle — you may feel vulnerable during this time or struggle to adapt to your body’s new limits as it heals. Many surgeries require nursing care for days, weeks, or even months after the procedure is finished. Even if you feel like you’re ready to return to your normal life, it’s critical that you don’t rush it.

Paramount Home Health Services offers post-surgery care in the comfort of home to help you or your loved one attend to post-op wounds. Our trained professionals will work with you to create a plan of care unique to your needs.

We provide patients peace of mind, with the knowledge that a trusted professional is available to address any questions or concerns that arise throughout the treatment process. Our post-surgery care teams consist of a Registered Nurse (RN) as Case Manager, and a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) if the Case Manager sees fit.

The post-surgery care approach is collaborative, meaning we involve the patient, loved ones, and physician in the development and execution of the plan of care.

Major surgeries like total knee replacement, total hip replacement and brain surgeries leave patients with limited physical and cognitive abilities. At Paramount Home Health Services, our Trained rehabilitation professionals work closely with patients to reinstate their physical abilities, coordination and balance via a wide range of therapies. All these critical surgeries entail prolonged hospitalization, leaving patients with impaired social skills. Postoperative rehabilitation is highly effective in helping patients regain their strength while guiding them back to regular life. It also plays a key role in pain management and care coordination in a hygienic environment that otherwise wouldn’t have been possible at home.

Following are some of the advantages of post-operative care when working with Paramount Home Health Services:

  • Helps regain full mobility at the earliest.

  • Ensures that you regain control over your posture, balance and coordination.

  • Assists in pain management.

  • Reduces risk of contracting post-operative pulmonary complications (PCCs) and other infections.

The post-operative care available at Paramount Home Health Services through highly trained medical professionals is sure to help you back to your daily routine in the most efficient and effective way possible.
